Today I installed Makulu Max. When I try to update I get a message that one of the packages will not update. After that, when I try to shut down, the system will not shut down. The system becomes broken. It will not restart. I have to use the system without updating. Is that a known bug that is going to be fixed?

I’m going to need more details on this problem. which max are you running ? Max D or Max U ? which command are you using to do updates ? and which packages wont update ?
I would recommend you report the issue here : https://sourceforge.net/p/makulu/bugs/
and we can look into it.

Hello, I received an email with an iso of Makululu (MakuluLinux Shift Pro Dev Build 2024.03.15), and proceeded to install it but unfortunately it did not install, it booted and asked me login, and once I gave username and password, it said to wait while the operating system was installed, but never happened, my question is, that iso is to install it and how to do it.

i just did a test install of the ISO myself, i recorded the installation. see the included video below. so the problem is not with the ISO, it may be with either your hardware or with the bootable usb app you are using to make the usb bootable.

Thank you for your kind reply, I did a check of the MD5 checksum value of the downloaded file and this is the result:
/home/julio/Descargas # md5sum MakuluLinux-Shift-U-Pro-2024-03-15.md5
62d69fc10142a408ecfd804e9b640e79 MakuluLinux-Shift-U-Pro-2024-03-15.md5
/home/julio/Descargas # md5sum MakuluLinux-Shift-U-Pro-2024-03-15.iso
9942ca876418fa39a774aad7f6e152a9 MakuluLinux-Shift-U-Pro-2024-03-15.isoThere seems to be an error in the file.
What should I do in this case, again thank you for your kind management and support.
Cordially

Hello, thanks for your answers, I did the installation process of MakuluLinux-Shift-U-2024-03-18.iso, however it does not install the desktop environment, it only goes as far as asking for login and does not go beyond that, I do not know what mistake I am making, but neither of the two isos has allowed me to install Makululu.
Thank you for any suggestions on this matter.

Hello thank you for your answer, I used for the installation the following iso: MakuluLinux-Max-D-2024-02-27.iso. At the end of the installation process it asks me to reboot and this is what appears when it finishes booting (I add the images that I managed to take, they are not very clear but you can understand what it says).
I would appreciate your guidance as to what is preventing me from successfully installing.CordiallyJulio Cesar CamposNote: the same thing happened to me with: MakuluLinux-Shift-U-2024-03-18.isoAttachments:

Greetings, I just installed MakuluLinux-X-D-2024-04-02.iso, but it does not install the desktop, only goes to login and then does not pass, I do not know what I’m doing wrong, I appreciate a light to solve this impasse, the images that I sent in the previous post are the same as what I get in this last installation.

You are having install issues on Max D, Max U, Shift U and now X-D… these are all VERY different distros and vary on either Ubuntu or Debian base. its IMPOSSIBLE to have so many install issues on so many different variants. I would suggest try a different boot maker app, or check your usb. These distros are installed by MANY users. I install all of these many times every week. the new X build is sure to have bugs and issues, but they arent boot related.

Try updating via the terminal with sudo apt update and sudo apt upgrade to see more detailed error messages.
